Musical Performances provided by LJ's Music Services
I am able to offer a range of solo performances in a variety of styles on the following instruments:
- Piano
- Electronic Keyboard
- Violin
- Viola
- Electric Violin
- Clarinet
These performances can be tailored to meet a very broad range of requirements. I am happy to perform at special events such as weddings and functions.
Piano, Violin, Viola and Clarinet
I can offer a variety of pieces, both from the existing repertoire and from my own compositions. I also perform free improvisations on these instruments. I can perform purely as a soloist and additionally I perform with Catherine O'Rourke in "Bailey Music" (see separate page). On the clarinet, I perform jazz classics and popular ballads supported by specially arranged backing tracks.
Electronic Keyboard and Electric Violin
I can offer an up-beat selection of songs and original compositions on the Electronic Keyboard. This includes songs from shows and songs from the World War II era. Additionally my repertoire includes songs originally performed by Glenn Miller's orchestra, Abba, Frank Sinatra, The Beatles and Cliff Richard, as well as contemporary arrangements of Classical favourites. I can perform music in a range of dance styles.
The Electric Violin is an extremely versatile instrument, and with the help of effects pedals, it can be transformed from a standard violin sound to something rather like an electric guitar!! I play many pieces of jazz and popular music, as well as classical themes, with the help of specially arranged backing tracks.
Transporting Instruments to venues
All instruments are easily portable including the piano. I would require two power points for the piano, keyboard and electric violin.
Music for Wedding Ceremonies
I am able to offer a comprehensive range of music for wedding ceremonies. This involves performing hymns and other suitable pieces on the electric violin, with organ accompaniment. There is a dedicated page on this website.
